Warranty Overview

At Duracrafts Furniture, we are committed to providing durable and high-quality sofas. To demonstrate our confidence in the quality of our products, we offer a comprehensive warranty policy to protect your purchase.

This warranty is subject to the terms and conditions outlined below and operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

This policy is in effect from 17/12/2024 and applies to orders placed on or after 17/12/2024.


Warranty Coverage

The following components of our sofas are covered for manufacturing defects under normal residential use:

  • Structural Frame: 5-Year Warranty

    • Covers manufacturing defects in wooden and metal frames, including warping, cracking, or breaking.

  • Upholstery (Fabric and Leather): 1-Year Warranty

    • Covers tearing, splitting, or seam defects caused by manufacturing faults.

    • Excludes damage caused by improper cleaning, spills, cuts, burns, pets, or general wear and tear.

  • Cushions and Foam: 1-Year Warranty

    • Covers loss of foam resilience, excessive sagging, or structural defects in seat cushions and back padding.

    • Normal softening of foam over time is not covered.

  • Recliner Mechanisms and Electrical Components: 1-Year Warranty

    • Covers faults in reclining mechanisms and electrical components such as motors and switches.


What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, improper assembly, or modifications.

  • Damage caused by spills, stains, pets, burns, or cuts.

  • General wear and tear, including natural fading, softening of cushions, or fabric pilling.

  • Damage due to exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures.

  • Commercial or non-residential use of the furniture.

  • Furniture sold as clearance, second-hand, or floor stock.


Claim Process

If you experience an issue covered by our warranty, follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Reach out to Duracrafts Furniture Customer Service via:

  2. Provide Proof of Purchase: Submit a valid proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) and photos of the defect.

  3. Assessment: Our team will assess the claim and determine if the issue is covered under warranty.

  4. Resolution: If approved, we will repair, replace, or provide 100% store credit if a replacement is not available. For parts or components no longer available, we may provide a comparable alternative.


Additional Notes

  • Warranty claims must be made within the coverage period from the date of purchase.

  • The warranty period begins on the date of purchase.

  • Customers are responsible for any shipping or transportation costs related to the warranty claim.

  • Repairs or replacements under warranty do not extend the original warranty period.


Your Consumer Rights Under Australian Law

This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including:

  • Goods must be of acceptable quality, safe, and fit for purpose.

  • You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund for major failures.

  • You are entitled to have minor faults repaired or replaced.
