The Bora Bed pairs a curved wingback headboard with a lift-up storage base. From the outside it is a clean upholstered bed in cream fabric, set on a band of natural timber, and the storage only shows when you open it.
The headboard
The headboard is wider than the bed, and its outer edges curve forward and round over at the top to form two soft wings. It stands on the same timber plinth as the base, so the headboard and frame sit together as one piece.
The timber base
The plinth is rubberwood, a real timber, left in a light natural finish with the grain showing, and it lifts the upholstery just clear of the floor. The bed comes in queen and king to fit a standard mattress, and arrives flat in four cartons with the hardware to assemble it.

Is a mattress included?
No. The frame suits a standard queen or king size mattress, depending on the size you choose. We do sell mattresses in both sizes, each with a 10 year warranty. You can add one when you choose your size above, or shop our mattresses
How do I open the storage?
Pull the strap at the foot of the bed and the gas struts lift the slatted base for you.
Is this the same as an ottoman bed?
Yes. Gas lift beds are also called ottoman beds or lift-up storage beds. The whole base lifts to give you storage underneath.
Does it need assembling?
Yes. It ships flat in 4 cartons with the hardware included.
