The Ares Coffee Table is drawn in straight lines and two materials: mango wood in a black matte finish, and a top of natural white marble.
The form is a single rectangular frame. Two solid end panels run from the marble to the floor and become the legs, so there is no base rail, no plinth, nothing beneath the drawers but open floor. Seen from the side, the table is a slab of black with a white line across the top.
The drawers are set flush into the front and have no handles. A fine vertical line between them is the only break in the face. The matte finish holds its depth without glare, which lets the veining of the marble carry the light instead.
The Ares Sideboard and TV Unit share the same black matte timber, marble top and slab-end construction.
