A long oval of solid wood on two arched legs. The Byron Dining Table is 200cm long and 100cm wide, and the first thing you notice is the top: a rounded oval with a soft bevel that runs the full way around its edge. We call it the Byron edge, a gentle slope cut into the timber so the top thins towards your hands and the whole table feels lighter than its size.
The surface is brushed back in places so the grain rises to meet you. Run a hand across it and you feel the wood, not a coat of finish. Every top is cut from natural solid timber, so the grain pattern on yours is its own.
It stands on two slab legs set in from the ends, each cut with a tall arch that lets light through under the table and leaves the corners free for chairs and knees.
The Sand finish is a warm, pale tone that sits lightly on the timber and lets the grain show through.
The legs attach to the top with the hardware supplied.
The Byron range continues in the Dining Bench and Dining Chair, also sold together as dining sets.
